Had breakfast at McDonald's. I know. I know. But the only other choice was Mom's Dutch Oven. SERIOUSLY! How the hell am I supposed to eat at a place called Mom's Dutch Oven? So wrong in so many ways. For those of you who don't know what a Dutch Oven is, please see

As it turns out, Pennsylvania is woodsy and hilly. I took a little detour to Scranton, PA in honor of The Office and got a Starbucks coffee in honor of my caffeine addiction. I was the only person in Scranton wearing shorts.

Lots of road work in this part of the country. I'd hate to be one of the seven guys standing around watching the one guy work. I like the different safety signs they have: "Give them a brake." "Let them work. Let them live." And the more poignant: "Hit a worker $10,000 fine 5 years in jail."

As I'm winding up the first leg of the trip, I'd like to give a shout out to my car. A beautiful Acura RL with GPS, XM Radio, Heated seats. I have developed an unnatural love for it these past few days. It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Took the scenic route through New York and Connecticut and Rhode Island where I stopped to visit my Grandma. There was some confusion about when I was going to arrive there and I was given a lecture about not being a liar. Then she told me the home she is staying at and about her hobbies and activities and the stalker that she had. And yes, Dad, I fixed her answering machine.

Tomorrow's target: Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Oh and then I'm going to Boston.
